Description

Bodybuilders use Arimidex (anastrozole) off-label to prevent estrogen spikes and gynecomastia (breast tissue growth) during anabolic steroid cycles. As an aromatase inhibitor (AI), it drops circulating estrogen levels.

 

  • Purpose: Athletes utilize it to combat water retention, mood swings, and fat gain associated with the aromatization (conversion to estrogen) of testosterone and other anabolic steroids.
  • Typical Dosages: When used, bodybuilders commonly take 0.5 mg once every few days to 0.5 mg twice per week, starting in the second week of a steroid cycle.
